Timeline View

The Timeline View combines multiple time-based sub-views for schedule planning and stakeholder storytelling. When a project has more than 50 tasks and an active sprint exists, it opens with that sprint selected by default to reduce initial load on large projects.

Features

  • •Task Bars: Each task with dates appears as a horizontal bar
  • •Current Sprint Default: For projects above 50 tasks, active-sprint tasks load first; clear or change the Sprint filter to view tasks outside the current sprint
  • •Drag to Move: Drag task bars to change start/end dates (press and hold briefly first on touch devices)
  • •Resize: Drag the edges of bars to adjust duration
  • •Zoom: Use Ctrl+scroll to zoom in/out
  • •Today Marker: Red vertical line shows current date

Working with Timeline

  • •Tasks without dates appear as dashed outlines
  • •Click a task bar to open its details
  • •Drag horizontally to scroll through time
  • •Unscheduled tasks can be given dates here

Milestone View

The Milestone sub-view provides a high-level, boardroom-ready presentation of your project journey.

  • •Phases: Tasks are grouped by Sprint or Group into visual phases
  • •Journey Line: Phases appear as stops along a vertical or horizontal timeline
  • •Summary Strip: Quickly scan the current phase, next phase, project pulse, next event, and target date
  • •Phase Cards: Each card shows status, date range, completion progress, blockers, overdue work, owners, and curated highlights
  • •Visual States: Completed phases in green, active phase highlighted with a pulse effect, future phases grayed out
  • •Health Signals: Each phase is marked as On Track, Watch, At Risk, or Blocked
  • •Presentation Mode: Switch to a cleaner storytelling layout for screen-sharing and reviews
