  2. 2.Enter their email address
  3. 3.Select a role (Admin, Member, or Viewer)
  4. 4.Click "Send Invitation"

They'll be added immediately and can access the project right away.

New Users

  1. 1.Click "Invite Member"
  2. 2.Enter their email address
  3. 3.Select a role
  4. 4.Click "Send Invitation"

They'll receive a magic link to:

  1. 1.Create a Cyrus365 account
  2. 2.Automatically join your project with the assigned role

If Someone Can't Be Invited

  • •Already on your team — the person is already part of your organization. You'll see a friendly confirmation; just click Done.
  • •Belongs to another organization — every Cyrus365 account belongs to a single organization. If the email you entered is already used by a different organization, try a different email address, or the person can contact support to move organizations.

Member Roles

RoleDescription
OwnerFull access, can delete project
AdminManage settings, members, groups, sprints, and tasks
MemberCreate and manage tasks, invite new members
ViewerRead-only access
External ViewerRead-only for external stakeholders
See Roles & Permissions for detailed access levels.

Changing Member Roles

Only Owners and Admins can change roles:

  1. 1.Find the member in the list
  2. 2.Click the role dropdown
  3. 3.Select the new role
  4. 4.Changes save automatically

Removing Members

  1. 1.Find the member in the list
  2. 2.Click the remove icon (trash)
  3. 3.Confirm removal
Note: You cannot remove the project Owner. On open projects: If your project is open to your organization (Public Editable / Public Viewable), organization members can't be removed — their remove button shows a lock icon when you hover over it, and clicking it explains why. To remove someone, switch the project to Private in the General tab: members who joined through organization access are removed when you switch, while people you invited yourself keep their roles and can be removed afterwards. Leaving a project: You can leave a project yourself using the Leave button on your own row (unavailable for project Owners, or when your access comes from your organization).

Tips

  • •Start with Viewer for stakeholders who just need visibility
  • •Use Member for team members who work on tasks
  • •Limit Admins to those who need to manage structure
  • •One Owner per project (transfer ownership if needed)
