Look-At Component Architecture
Establish UC3_LAA_MainComponent as a Blueprint-spawnable UActorComponent dedicated to rotating an owning Actor toward a target Actor. Define a compact runtime surface around enable state, target assignment, destination offset, and follow-speed control.
Blueprint Property Exposure
Expose core tuning fields through editable LAA category properties so designers can configure behavior directly in the editor. Keep the initial setup approachable with a DisplayName="Look At Component" presentation.
Target Actor Assignment API
Deliver Blueprint getter and setter functions for ViewTargetActor so gameplay logic can redirect the look-at behavior at runtime. Support target swapping for cameras, props, interactables, and AI.
Destination Offset Controls
Add GetDestinationOffset and SetDestinationOffset to offset the aim point from the target Actor's world position. Enable precise framing for head-look and socket-adjacent focus points.
Per-Frame View Updating
Run the component every frame through TickComponent and route the behavior through an internal UpdateView method. Owner continuously reorients toward the computed destination.
Interpolated Rotation Following
Expose GetFollowSpeed and SetFollowSpeed to control rotation snapping or interpolation. Use FindLookAtRotation and RInterpTo for smoother behavior.
Runtime Enable State Management
Provide IsEnable and SetEnable Blueprint accessors so projects can suspend or reactivate look-at behavior. Support gameplay gating for cutscenes and interaction states.
Owner-Centric Rotation Application
Finalize runtime behavior around rotating the owning Actor. Preserve a lightweight integration path for focused orientation.
API Stabilization for Blueprint Teams
Maintain the small, explicit Blueprint API centered on enable state, target binding, offset, and speed. Keep plugin low-overhead.
Runtime Packaging & Cross-Platform Readiness
Preserve the plugin as a runtime module with metadata for Win64, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, and tvOS. Align release with VersionName 1.2 and UE 5.7.
